I promise, I am not searching for a new "religion".

Hi!

My name is Lauren. I am the second half of the Sunday Vagabond duo. I am currently a college student in my fourth year and I have high hopes of graduating with a degree in Biblical studies or International Missions/Ministries at some point in my life... not so sure how soon that will be though ;) 

When Maya approached me with the idea of visiting different places of worship every Sunday and journaling/blogging about it I was immediately "in". Having grown up in a family that has a strong faith in God and the Bible and with each having their own personal relationship with Christ I have always loved learning about different aspects of religion or what I like to refer to as "faith". Whether that be about my personal beliefs, faith, religion, etc. or that of someone else, I find it overall very interesting and eye-opening. After all, if I believing what I believe to be true and the most important part of who I am, and you believe what you believe to be true and the most important part of you, then shouldn't we be trying to convince one another of this? I think so, because for me my faith in God and my personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the difference between life and death. This is not to say that my main goal of this adventure is to convince people of other religions to convert, but rather to be informed and experienced. I believe that if anything this will further my belief in what I believe and know to be true. 

So, I promise, I am not searching for a new religion. I am perfectly pleased with the God I serve and love and with the personal relationship I have with Christ (although it could be a little more trusting and intimate on my end of the relationship, but hey, I am human and he is the triune God so I am at a little bit of a disadvantage). What I am doing is educating myself and learning about others and about churches that think the same and differently than I do. No harm there :) So I hope you enjoy our blog. We promise to do our best to keep the journey fun and unbiased.
